on the creative results of the 45th anniversary season
Dear friends!
Season 2021/2022 passed under the sign of the 45th anniversary of Eifman Ballet. And the Company devoted this special year not to summing up or immersing in nostalgia, but to intensive creative work aimed at developing the dance language of the 21st century and exposure of the wide audience to the Russian modern choreographic art.
The main event of the season was the premiere of the production The Seagull. A Ballet Story which took place at the end of February in St. Petersburg. The iconic choreographic interpretation of Anton Chekhov's literary masterpiece, filled with thinking about the fate of dance figures and reflecting the richness of the artistic and expressive possibilities of our Company, was enthusiastically received by the audience and critics.
During the 45th season, Eifman Ballet has been successfully presenting its unique repertory on the stages of Perm, Yekaterinburg, Kazan and other leading Russian cultural centers.

Spectators in Moscow were able to see our festive gala program twice, and at the end of July the Company triumphantly performed at the Bolshoi Theatre, showing The Seagull. A Ballet Story and the famous ballet Rodin, Her Eternal Idol.
Despite the difficult situation in the world, last season not only Russian, but also foreign audiences got a chance to enjoy the art we create. So, in 2021-2022 Eifman Ballet had tours in the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Belarus.
I sincerely thank the spectators who gave us their emotional energy and warmth of the heart throughout the year! We will be happy to have new meetings with you. And let them be truly unforgettable.
